GLOBAL DRUG SURVEY 2017: Cannabis tops Irish Illegal Drugs League Table
MDMA, Cocaine and Ketamine also qualify for the Pharmaceutical Champions League...
Cannabis remains by far and away Ireland’s illegal drug of choice with 73.5% of respondents to the Global Drug Survey 2017 here saying they’ve taken it over the past 12 months.
That’s down 5% compared to 2016, but 13% up on 2015.
It’s interesting to note that, despite all the lurid tabloid headlines it’s generated, Synthetic Cannabis only has a 0.9% usage rate – the same as last year.
Indeed, Irish people seem to be rather old-fashioned when it comes to their drugs, with substances like 2CI, 1P-LSD and DMT, which have become UK clubbing staples, barely registering here.
