Glen & Marketa to perform at Oscars

The February 24 awards night in L.A. is now definitely going ahead after writer's unions reached agreement with Hollywood studios to end their strike action.

Hansard and Irglova's participation was confirmed in a press conference announcing the performers and presenters for this year's ceremony. In addition to the Once number, three songs from the Disney fairytale spoof Enchanted will also be performed.

Colin Farrell will join the likes of George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Hilary Swank, Denzel Washington, Nicole Kidman, Martin Scorsese and Renée Zellweger in presenting awards to this year's winners.
