Glastonbury album to be released in support of Oxfam's refugee efforts
An impressive array of music stars including Cold Play, Muse and Laura Mvulva will be contributing to the album.
The album is called Oxfam Presents: Stand As One - Live At Glastonbury 2016 and is due to be released ahead of two major summits in New York in September about the global migration crisis.
The album is being created to raise funds for Oxfam and will contain donated tracks recorded during the artists' recent Glastonbury sets.
It is partly being dedicated to the memory of MP Jo Cox with proceeds going to the Jo Cox Fund. Cox was always a great champion for the refugees, so it will be nice to see her noble work honoured.
Singer Laura Mvulva urged her fans to buy the track and sign Oxfam's petition which implores the Prime Minister to share responsibility with other leaders for improving the living conditions of the refugees. "I'm donating a track because we need to do more about this refugee situation. The world needs to change.
