Ghostpoet added to Forbidden Fruit bill
The Londoner is confirmed for the Kilmainham bash...
London alt. electro artist Ghostpoet has been confirmed for Forbidden Fruit. He joins Kasabian, Primal Scream, James Blake and Chic, who are all set to perform on the grounds of Kilmainham over the bank holiday weekend (June 1 and 2).
Ghostpoet (interviewed by Maeve Heslin in the current issue of Hot Press), has just released his sophomore album, Some Say I So I Say Light, the follow-up to his Mercury-nominated debut, Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam. Another excellent collection of eerie vocals over sparse trip hop beats, Some Say I... features guest vocals from Lucy Rose, Woodpecker Wooliams and Gwilym Gold.
He announced this morning via Twitter, @ghostpoet: Ooooh yes, Dublin...I'm coming back, just announced...playing @ForbiddenFFest ! Can't wait!
Forbidden Fruit tics, priced from €54.50, are on sale now. Look out for the Hot Press Speakeasy, where we'll be inviting performers in for interviews, acoustic sessions, and Q&As over the course of the weekend!
