'Gearing up for the big time...
Headgear return to the roost for a Limerick gig and release new double A side
Suitably buoyed by being chosen as a Hotpress 'One To Watch' in 2003, Headgear play a hometown headliner at Dolan's Warehouse, Limerick on February 7.
The previous day finds them unleashing a new double A-side single, 'Halibut'/'Hot Milk', on their own Martha Digs Music label.
Although they've kept a relatively low profile on this side of the Irish Sea, Headgear's Where The Good Life Goes mini-album was a big hit with John Peel, MTV's Zane Lowe and Rough Trade who've asked them to play at a number of their label nights.
Support for the night is provided by The Dead Bodies – "The corpses of The Dirty Beatniks, The Prodigy's drummer and a couple of strangers from Cornwall who brought them all together" – Schroeder's Cat and some record-spinning chancer by the name of Stuart Clark.
Doors open at 9pm with admission a miserly €12.
