Alien Envoy have premiered the video for ‘Sunny’, the latest single to be lifted from their LOADS album, and which takes in some familiar Dublin landmarks. It’s directed by Alien-in-chief Nick Kelly, the former Fat Lady Sings man whose previous Shoe short was in the 2011 Oscar running.
Dublin also provides the backdrop for the bloody-nosed promo accompanying ‘Ambulance’, the latest from Rainy Boy Sleep who signed recently to Universal Music Ireland.

The new Irish vids keep on coming with this semi-autobiographical clip for Original Rudeboys’ Last Of A Nation’. One of the standouts from their All We Are album, it will doubtless get a live airing on September 5 when the trio play a hometown headliner in the Dublin Olympia with Celbridge’s own Fresh Re supporting.

Rhob Cunningham celebrates the release of his The Window & The Day album with a September 18 show in the Dublin Button Factory.
The collection was recorded in Reykjavik under the watchful eye/ear of Valgeir Sigurðsson who’s previously worked with the likes of Bjork, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Feist.

Having previously produced and directed 2013’s Sound City, Dave Grohl collaborates with the rest of the Foo Fighters on Sonic Highways, an HBO eight-parter that makes its Stateside debut on October 17. In it, they create “a musical map” by travelling all over the country and along the way meeting people like Chuck D, Willie Nelson, Buddy Guy, Billy Gibbons, Bonnie Raitt, Slash, Dolly Parton, Rick Nielsen, Josh Homme, Joan Jett and President Obama who notes that, “American music is about people rejecting what is already there to create something entirely new.”
