Frank Black to play Dublin
The former Pixie plays a solo show at the TBMC this July
Frank Black leaves the Catholics at home on July 11 when he plays a solo show at Dublin's Temple Bar Music Centre.
Fans will be able to get a sneak preview of Show Me Your Tears, his new album which emerges on September 8 and features guest appearances by Stan Ridgway, Joey Santiago and Van Dyke Parks.
The former Pixie describes the opus as, "Thirteen big, salty tears. Like thirteen little black dogs just born, still in their sacs, about to wake up, ready to howl at the world. There isn't a happy song in this bunch."
Tickets priced €17 are on sale now.
