Frames to release rarities album in US
Import copies to be made available in Ireland
The Frames have announced details of a 9-track rarities album which is being made available in the US through Overcoat.
Although not out there until later in the month, HMV have struck a deal whereby pre-release import copies will be stocked in its Irish stores from August 1.
The tracks and their origins are:
'Lay Me Down' & 'Headlong' – New versions of the For The Birds favourites
'Rise', 'Tomorrow's Too Long' and 'Sickbeds' – Irish-only B-sides and bonus cuts
'New Partner' – Cover of the Will Oldham/Palace Brothers song which was released on Volta
Sounds as a split-7" with Calexico
'Fitzcaraldo' – Extended ten minute live version
'God Bless Mom' – Re-working of the Dance The Devil album track
'Listen Girl' – Mic Christopher cover
Also upcoming from The Frames on September 12 is 'Fake', the first taster from their new studio album which follows in March/April 2004.
