The Divine Comedy, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Flyte and more announced for Galway Folk Festival

The Divine Comedy, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Flyte and more have been announced for this year's Galway Folk Festival.

Taking place across eleven venues in Galway city from June 3 to 7, the festival marks its fifth edition, with over 80 acts set to perform over the duration of the festival.

The first batch of artists was announced in February, including the likes of Lisa O'Neill, Damien Dempsey, Muireann Bradley, and more. Since then, over 50 additional performers have been added to the lineup. The newly announced highlights include Dylan Flynn & The Dead Poets, Chris Brain, Driven Snow, Kenan Flannery, Roving Crows, Tessio, and Yonder Boys.

The expanded lineup also features Richard Thompson, RÓIS, Bill Ryder-Jones, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Nadia Reid, and more.

Since launching in 2022, Galway Folk Festival has built a reputation as a key gathering point for folk and trad music. Alongside the original festival locations such as Monroe's Live, Town Hall Theatre, and the Black Box, four new venues - Leisureland, St Nicholas' Collegiate Church, Taylor's Bar, and Carroll's Bar - will be staging artists over the weekend.

Across five days, the festival will present a mix of headline concerts, intimate seated shows, late-night sessions and daytime events.

The daytime event programme will be accompanied by Cuppa Tea TV, who will host an outdoor stage on Saturday and Sunday. Culture Vultures with Tony Clayton-Lea will lead a series of conversations and events, alongside other free events from Westend Sessions and Youth in Music.
