Frames and fortune
The Frames' American star is in the ascendent with a fawning New York Times review, new album in the pipeline, a live album in the interim and a one night stand at Vicar St. Phew!
The Frames nip home on April 17 for a one-night stand in Vicar St. After that it's back to Chicago where they're assembling their new studio album in Steve Albini's Electrical Audio studio.
Due for release in September, it's preceded in mid-May by their Set-List live offering.
Meanwhile, the band's American stock continues to rise with the New York Times noting in a recent gig review that, "The Frames, from Ireland, were unafraid to sound sincere in radiant songs that moved from tender confessions to chiming anthems, summoning grand emotion without a hint of bombast."
