Former Nizlopi singer Luke Concannon shares 'Your Heart Is In My Chest'
Listen to the new track from Luke Concannon below.
Luke Concannon, famed as one half of Nizlopi – who had a major hit with 'The JCB Song' and were a major source of inspiration for Ed Sheeran – has returned with a new solo single 'Your Heart Is In My Chest'.
“I wrote this song at an artist residency, on Grammy and Tony-winning songwriter Anais Mitchell’s farm in New England, USA," Luke reflects. "I was asking the Quaker question; ‘what is my heart quaking to say?’ and this song erupted out; my love for my wife, my recognition that it’s the most important relationship in my life, awe at the magic of it, awe at life…”
The acclaimed singer-songwriter has deep Irish roots – his father is a musician from Co. Clare, while his grandmother grew up in an Irish-speaking community in Co. Kerry.
He launched the new single with a streaming party – featuring live performances, as well as a guest interview with Irish social innovator, campaigner and bestselling author Ruari McKiernan. Watch the video here.
