FORBIDDEN FRUIT 2017: Day 3 Kicks Off!
Monday’s proceedings are now under way!
Bank Holiday main stage activities are ushered in by some charming indie folk courtesy of Lambchop man William Tyler. Easing us in to proceedings, the trio treat the crowd to a selection of fine tunes mostly taken from his exquisite latest outing ‘Modern Country’. ‘Missionary Ridge’ is a standout number with its intricate downtempo opening building to an explosive crescendo.
Meanwhile, over on the Outsider Stage, Paul Thomas Saunders’ set is a more uptempo affair. Saunders is in fine form, thanking us for coming out early to see him and introducing his bandmates warmly. He has drawn comparison with everyone from Radiohead to Jeff Buckley, and these prove to be well-warranted. His performance, peppered with songs from album Beautiful Desolation and his Good Women EP runs the gamut from lush folk to powerful earnest indie.
