Offset shot in Florida casino
"We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care," a spokesperson for the rapper told Pitchfork.
Offset has been shot in the leg outside a casino in Hollywood, Florida. The incident took place on Monday, April 6, in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino after 7 pm.
A spokesperson of the former member of Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos stated that the 34-year-old American rapper is in stable condition and being closely monitored in the hospital.
"Seminole Police were on the site immediately and the situation was contained quickly," a representative of the Seminole County police told TMZ.
"Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public."
Kiari Kendrell Cephus, known as Offset, began his career in Migos. The trio was formed in 2008 by Offset, Takeoff and Quavo.
In 2022, Migos disbanded, with Quavo and Takeoff forming their own duo - Unc & Phew - and Offset pursuing a solo career.
That same year, Takeoff was shot and killed at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas.
"I've been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it's reality, and reality feels like a nightmare," Offset said at the time. "Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream."
