Holy Holy, with Woody Woodmansey, Tony Visconti and Glenn Gregory, will honour David Bowie with their The Final Tour - A Celebration of Bowie in Dublin’s The Academy on September 27 and 28 and in Belfast's Limelight 1 on September 29.
The Bowie project ‘The Best Of Bowie’ was launched in 2021 by Bowie’s former producer / bassist Visconti and drummer Woodmansey, featuring long-time fan and friend Heaven 17’s Gregory plus the all-star Holy Holy band.
The band is set ti perform iconic hits and cult classics from Bowie’s extensive back catalogue with Visconti on bass.
Visconti is known for playing on Bowie’s first two records and went on to produce ten of his albums throughout his career, while drummer Woody performed and recorded with Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust era as one of The Spiders From Mars.
Gregory also sang alongside Bowie on the original Band Aid single in 1984. and is the frontman of the Holy Holy project.
“Since Holy Holy formed back in 2014,” Woodmansey commented, “we’ve played to hundreds of thousands of Bowie fans around the world. From the audience response to the energy within the band, we’ve shared some truly amazing and unforgettable evenings together. We’ve toured the UK, Japan, Europe and the US — and every time the music connects just as powerfully.
“This upcoming tour feels especially meaningful,” he continued. “With the V&A Bowie exhibition now open, the recent preservation of Bowie’s legacy through the National Heritage Trust, and the 10th anniversary of David’s untimely passing, it feels like the right moment to come together again and celebrate what this music still means.”
Tickets for Holy Holy at The Academy and The Limelight 1 go on sale this Friday, April 10 at 10am here.
