Brian Mooney’s The Next New Low announce new album and Dublin show

Dublin-based independent musician and label owner Brian Mooney’s latest project The Next New Low has announced the release of the album Bye Bye Bi-Polar Polar Bear, due out September 8.

The collection of ten tracks was recorded over a decade, and includes contributions from Conor O'Brien (Villagers), Faye O'Rourke & Adam O'Regan (Soda Blonde), Sean Mac Erlaine, and more.

On the day of release, Mooney will accompany the album with a launch show at the National Concert Hall, with support from The Sentimental Tourists.

The musician is known for fronting the iconic band the Idiots, and for founding the record label Trust Me I'm a Thief Records in 2004, and releasing music by Jape, Si Schroder, The Redneck Manifesto, Goodtime John, Somadrone, Beautiful Unit and more.

In 2025, The Next New Low released the critically acclaimed lo-fi EP the unreachable.
