Foo Fighters to spend 2017 recording new album
The Foo Fighters' short-lived hiatus appears to be over as the band prepare for a number of live dates across Europe this year and now have plans to record a new album.
The news came as Foo Fighters announced their first North American show of 2017, headlining BottleRock Napa Valley Festival in California this summer.
Dave Graham, CEO of Latitude 38, the company that puts on BottleRock, let slip to local newspaper Napa Valley Register that BottleRock might be the only America show that the band play all year as they are currently working on a new album. "“The Foo Fighters are in the studio all next year recording a new album and BottleRock may be their only show in 2017 in North America," he said.
Foo Fighters are scheduled to play several dates in Europe this summer, stopping off to headline Open'er Festival in Poland in June and NOS Alive in Portugal.
The Foo Fighters last released an album in 2014 with their record Sonic Highways.
