Foo Fighters announce (very) surprise collaboration with Boyz II Men
Singer Shawn Stockman appears on the "heaviest" song on the album.
This is a story that doesn't come around every day. Foo Fighters main man Dave Grohl has revealed that the "biggest pop star in the world" guesting on the final track of their new album Concrete And Gold is from '90s R&B romeos Boyz II Men.
The band, who have called the album their "weird record", seem to have committed to the idea of raising eyebrows with the inclusion of singer Shawn Stockman, who "built a choir...like 40 vocals stacked together" on the title track, which Grohl described as a cross between Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd.
Foo Fighters debuted their single "Run" on June 1 prior to their headlining Glastonbury appearance.
Boyz II Men found fame in the '90s with hits like "End Of The Road" and "I'll Make Love To You". Their most recent album, Collide, was released in 2014.
Foo Fighters' Concrete And Gold comes out on September 15.
