Fontaines D.C. to release new single 'Tongue' this afternoon
They also announced a round of shows in Japan, Australia and New Zealand early next year.
Fontaines D.C. are set to release their brand new single 'Tongue' this afternoon at 5pm. It was previously premiered at their Brooklyn show last week.
Accompanying the release, the band also announced a series of shows in Japan, Australia and New Zealand early next year, with support from Gurriers.
The newest single 'Tongue' will feature on Fontaines' upcoming fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, for which they recently shared the full tracklist.
The upcoming record will also include lead single 'Marianne' along with 'Six Shot Morning' and 'Happy For You', which were recently debuted live - and a duet with Spanish pop pioneer Rosalía on 'Where Is Gone?'.
"The album itself is a dopamine chamber," said frontman Grian Chatten. "You step inside and we test these different mind or mood-altering pieces of music on you ... There's a poignant sense of us being on the brink of some other kind of form of humanity, or non-humanity."
Following the release of the record, the Dublin band will embark on a tour of the UK and Europe, as well as a run of stadium and outdoor dates in 2027 with Little Simz and Viagra Boys. It includes a stop at Slane Castle on June 26 and 27, 2027.
