Fontaines D.C. tease imminent 'Romance' announcement with cryptic new video

After sharing a brief snippet of new music over social media this weekend, Fontaines D.C. have returned with their most significant teaser yet – sharing a mysterious one-and-a-half minute video this afternoon, featuring previously unreleased music.

As well as unveiling the video, titled 'Romance', the Irish band told their fans to head over to fontainesdc.com, where they can sign up for news.

Fontaines D.C. have also updated their cover photo on Facebook to a new banner that reads 'Romance'.

Grammy-nominated outfit – who were voted Best Live Act in the recent Hot Press Readers' Poll – released their latest album, Skinty Fia, in 2022. They've since joined forces with Massive Attack and Young Fathers to announce an exclusive, limited edition vinyl record, ceasefire, in support of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders' emergency operations in Gaza and the West Bank – set to be released on June 1.

2023 saw Fontaines D.C. contribute a cover of ''Cello Song' to the star-studded Nick Drake tribute album, The Endless Coloured Ways, while frontman Grian Chatten released his debut solo album, Chaos For The Fly.
