The fast-rising Irish band issued a statement on Friday afternoon confirming that health issues are involved in the decision.
Fontaines D.C have had to cancel several festival dates in Europe and one in the US due to health issues.
The band shared a statement on Twitter this afternoon, saying:
"This message is difficult to communicate to all of you. Due to health issues we find ourselves in the uncomfortable position of having to cancel the following festivals: Paleo Festival Nyon (CH), Truck Festival (UK), Deer Shed Festival (UK), Y Not Festival (UK) and Thing Festival (USA). We want to make sure that everyone knows that performing is one of the most important and fulfilling parts of all our lives, and so we will do all in our power to ensure that none of our tours are affected by this.
"We apologise to all of you who were looking forward to attending these festivals.
We look forward to seeing at all the remaining dates this summer.
All of our love and appreciation,
This is a very difficult statement to put out.
We hope you understand and know how grateful we are to all of you who have supported this band in one way or another.

The Dublin five-piece have been blazing a trail on the festival circuit this summer and on the touring front right the way through 2019.
Their debut LP, Dogrel, was released back in April and received overwhelmingly rave reviews on both sides of the Irish Sea, setting them up for incendiary performances in places like Glastonbury this summer.
We're sending all our best wishes to the members of Fontaines D.C.
