Fleet Foxes will do Dublin next year.
The American band returns to Ireland after a long hiatus.
The American indie folk band from Seattle have announced a headline show in Dublin next year, July 14.
Fleet Foxes's last Irish appearances were in June 2011 at the Marquee in Cork and in September 2009 at Vicar Street in Dublin.
After two posted home recording set-up pictures on Facebook in June 2013 there were speculations about a new project, possibly a third album from the band. But it was only on November 14, 2016 that Fleet Foxes confirmed on Facebook that their new album is nearly complete.
The band’s self-titled debut album was released to global acclaim in June 2008. Fleet Foxes was subsequently voted Album of the Year by Pitchfork and UNCUT Magazine awarded the album their first ever Music Award that same year.
The band’s second album Helplessness Blues released in May 2011 reached Number 4 in the US Billboard album charts and number 2 in the UK album charts and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Folk Album in 2012.
Fleet Foxes will play Dublin, Friday July 14 at Iveagh Gardens. Tickets go on sale December 1 at 9am via ticketmaster.ie.
