Ahead of Lemoncello's busy summer, Claire Kinsella shares her festival reflections...
Claire Kinsella
Lemoncello
I love how concentrated festivals are. It’s different to your own headline show where all the focus is on you. It takes the pressure off a little bit. You get the relief of being able to wander around before or after your show and see loads of acts you’re excited about, with the feeling of summer in the air.
There’s something about playing in a tent! It’s like being outside but you’re encompassed in its own little venue. We had loads of fun with that last year, and there’ll be even more craic this year when we have new songs to play for people as a three piece, with Lorcan Byrne on drums.
• Lemoncello play Cork Roots Festival, International Literature Festival Dublin, Féile Binn Éadair, Doolin Folk Festival, Beyond The Pale and more.
