Featured Writer: Kim Porcelli
Staten Island-born writer and musician Kim Porcelli worked in the City Arts Centre in Dublin before joining the Hot Press team as a writer in 2000 and then becoming Content Editor of hotpress.com.
Kim has now relinquished that post to concentrate on freelance work, including contributing cello to the highly-rated Tycho Brahe. Happily, her journalism will also continue to appear in Hotpress where, over recent years, she has won many admirers for the quality of her writing on music, literature and other matters.
The sample of her work which follows includes one especially memorable piece - Kim's personal and moving response to the catastrophic events which befell her home town of New York on September 11, 2001.
