Eminem tops the Irish album chart
Katy Perry does the singles honours.
Oxegen headliner Eminem has debuted at number one on the Irish album chart with Recovery. He replaces Glee The Music: Journey To Regionals, which drops to number seven.
The second highest new entry at five is the bells ‘n’ whistles version of Miley Cyrus’ Can’t Be Tamed’.
In what is otherwise a pretty static chart, High Kings’ Memory Lane is up 26 places from 47 to 21, which is a pretty decent spike given that the record has been out for nearly four months.
There’s a new number one on the singles chart as well, with Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dogg’s ‘California Gurls’ knocking Edward Maya and Vika Jigulina’s ‘Stereo Love’ off its perch. The second highest new entry is Eminem feat. Rihanna's 'Love The Way You Lie'. Ms. Fenty's part was recorded recently in Dublin's Temple Lane Studios. Sporting a blue hoody, hot pants and knee-high boots, the singer was, according to sources, a true pro and very friendly to all.
Temple Lane Studios is a popular spot for visiting superstars – last year Kanye West recorded vocals for 'Digital Girl' , the Jamie Fox single, on his irish visit.
