Eminem Holds Onto No.1 Spot
Oxegen-bound Eminem has held onto the No.1 spot in the Irish album charts ahead of his appearance on the main stage on Sunday night.
The rap superstar, who has always enjoyed huge popularity in Ireland, has again kept Lady Gaga out of the top spot with his Recovery album, now in its third week on release.
At once reflecting the positive impact the festival has on sales, and the strength of this year's bill, there are, in all, five Oxegen acts in the Irish Top 10 this week, with Mumford & Sons, Black Eyed Peas, Florence & The Machine and Paolo Nutini joining Eminem in the charts vanguard.
The highest new entry comes from Kylie Minogue, whose highly anticipated Aphrodite lands at No.5 in its first week in the shops. Enrique Iglesias, meanwhile, enters at No.10 with Euphoria.
Re-entering the Top 30, at No.30 (up six places), is Bob Marley's Legend, which celebrates an astonishing 474 weeks in the charts.
