Electric Picnic 2017 - First Look Inside

While the food vans are duly being kept busy and The Salty Dog ship is taking people on board, most of the action has yet to kick off on the Main Stages. The heat of the day has meant people are content to stay back in the campsite and explore the venue in drips and drabs.

All the better for Team Hot Press then, who have had the benefit of being first in line to sample some of the culinary options on offer (there's no end to the choice - we recommend Middle Eastern cuisine from Kinara or Thai from Saba). We've also caught Booka Brass doing a short set in the Newstalk tent and Ralph Rolle hanging out the staging area (keep an eye on the Hot Press tent tomorrow to see the Chic drummer in conversation).

It's still a long way from being full here, but the headline is that EP is open for business!
