Eels have shared a new track ahead of Iveagh Gardens gig
The Deconstruction is set for release in April.
The track is a catchy burst of pop notes with an upbeat tempo that is initially contrasted by lyrics like, “today is the day that I ask myself, what the hell was I living for?” It is a liberating question for this singer however, prompted by epiphanies and revelations. It all starts now! The sound marks a change from the more orchestral ‘Stream’, the first track released off The Deconstruction, which was slower to build, and even slightly sinister. Both look to contribute to a fine album.
Tickets for Eels can be bought on ticketmaster.ie now.
