Ed Sheeran scores first number one album of 2015 + Monkeys back at Indie summit
The first Irish number one album of the year has been scored by Ed Sheeran who holds on to the top spot with X.
It’s pretty much as you were at the summit with Hozier and Sam Smith still respectively at number two and three.
The big movers are Calvin Harris’ Motion, which moves from 25 to 11 and, doubtless buoyed by all that Chrimbo pressie money, 5 Seconds Of Summer whose eponymous debut jumps from 32 to 14.
The Independent Album Chart is topped by Arctic Monkeys’ AM which is up from last week’s number 13 and topples Damien Rice’s My Favourite Faded Fantasy which drops to number two. Sheffield’s finest – sorry Def Leppard! – have now amassed 69 weeks on the chart here.
