Durty nights promised for Dublin!
Durty Promotions have announced a brand new series of six weekly nights of live music, kicking off on July 16 at the Twisted Pepper
El Hombre Jokes, Brian Canavan and The Difference Engine, and Ian Martin will be providing a lively night of entertainment.
Durty Promotions is a collection of graduates from the Hot Press Mix Course 2010, including musicians, marketeers, managers and thinkers. Describing themselves as "simple folk with high ideals", they aim to showcase the best in up-and-coming music in great venues at a price that’s next to nothing.
El Hombre Jokes are already making quite a name with their fast paced live show and the release of their debut single ‘Something’s Gotta Give’ in June. Quirky internet phenomenon Brian Canavan and The Difference Engine will showcase songs from their forthcoming second album. Brian has appeared on the Last Broadcast, Ray D’Arcy and Rick O’Shea and Live 95 fm. Completing the line-up will be solo performer Ian Martin whose sound has been compared to the Beatles in many reviews. Hot Press said his songs were underpinned by a hypnotic melody and a jaunty folk rhythm.
The entry price is €5 and there are free drinks for early birds. The promoters are also offering free tickets to the first 20 people who find them on Facebook and demand free entry!
