Duke Special plays special National Concert Hall show
MayKay is among the guests.
Duke Special wears his posh clothes on February 2 for a show in the National Concert Hall that finds him joined by Mary Coughlan, Fight Like Apes singer Mary Kate Geraghty and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
They’ll be re-creating the hits of Ruby Murray, the teenage Belfast singer who ruled the charts during the ‘50s. To round things off, the boy Wilson will be playing a set of his own songs.
Ruby And The Duke then travels south for a February 6 show in the Cork Opera House.
Back at the National Concert Hall, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra’s Signature Series 2011 also finds them collaborating with the likes of Curtis Stigers, Marvin Hamlisch and Leslie Garrett. See [link]www.rte.ie/concertorchestra[/link] for full details.
