Donna Summer clocking Primal Scream, the Boy Wonder and killer psycho tunes

Those of you who are wondering how the recording of the new Ash album is going in LA will be tickled all sorts of colours to hear that Tim Wheeler has started posting a daily diary at www.ash-unofficial.com
Reads the latest entry: "Had a productive day doing loads of guitars that sound like they're from outer space on a track currently called 'Tinseltown'. In August we demoed a 10 minute, six section epic version of it, but we decided to edit it down to just the Donna-Summer-meets-Primal-Scream-in-a-fight bit and make a killer psycho tune out if it."
Other songs that have been nailed are 'Starcrossed', 'Solace' and 'Renegade Cavalcade' which includes such ace Wheeler couplets as: "Water runs down the windowpane/ As she sucks on a sugarcane/ You can see it in my face/ Staring into outer space/ We're renegades."
It hasn't all work, though, with Tim attending Dave Grohl's Halloween party dressed as Robin The Boy Wonder and Rick going as The Grim Reaper. Throw in a visit to the studio by Josh Homme and it's obvious they're having a rocktabulous time.
