Disturbed gig in Brussels cancelled due to "safety" concerns tied to frontman's support for the IDF
Disturbed are set to perform in Dublin on October 22.
Disturbed's Brussels show, set for October 15 at the Forest National, has been cancelled due to safety concerns.
“My responsibility and priority are the safety of residents, neighbors, demonstrators, spectators and staff at Forest National," said Forest Mayor Charles Spapens in a statement.
"Given the police’s negative advice and the venue’s unique location, it was my duty to make this decision.”
Additionally, there is a lack of security at the venue due to a national strike planned for October 14.
The band's frontman David Draiman has publicly supported Israel for years.
Last year the singer shared an X post of him signing artillery shells belonging to the IDF.
In July, Draiman condemned KNEECAP for their support of Palestine, calling Tom Morello's support for the rap trio "shameful".
KNEECAP responded saying, "Signing bombs dropped to murder kids and other people's families just makes you a straight up cunt."
The recently cancelled concert was part of Disturbed's anniversary tour for 2000’s The Sickness.
The band are set to perform at Dublin's 3Arena on October 22.
