Dermot Lambert: Mental Health Awareness charity single
'Hey Sean' will be the first single from Lambert's forthcoming solo album...
Singer-songwriter Dermot Lambert has shown his support for Mental Health awareness by pledging the first single from his upcoming solo album to the Green Ribbon campaign.
Lambert, best known as the frontman of Dublin pop/rock outfit Blink, has offered his single, 'Hey Sean' to help kickstart open conversation about mental health as part of the nationwide campaign.
The green ribbon campaign, which is taking place throughout the month of May, will see 150,000 ribbons distributed nationwide to help raise awareness of mental health and encourage discussion on the subject.
Speaking about the single's release, Lambert said: "There aren’t many things as personal in life as music, and as a writer I don’t know how much music I will ever write, but I am very pleased and honored to commit 'Hey Sean', which is a particularly special song to me, to Green Ribbon".
'Hey Sean' officially goes on sale on Friday, May 17, with all proceeds going towards the Green Ribbon campaign.
Lambert's album, Tiny will be released on June 28 with a launch show at Dublin's Village.
