Declan O Rourke to release new album in October
In Full Colour, Declan O'Rourke's newest album is set to be released at the end of October this year.
The newest album from the Dublin artist will contain some of his most treasured songs re-imagined in the company of a 50 piece orchestra.
Since 2012, O'Rourke has sold out several concert hall sized venues. Overwhelmingly positive support from the crowd inspired him to take the orchestra to the studio and record new versions of old favourites such as Galileo
The new release is accompanied by the RTE Concert Orchestra and reworks over a decade of O'Rourke's work. It also contains brand new tracks such as Children of '16.
The acclaimed track was written in memory of the 40 children who died during the 1916 Rising, and were buried in an unmarked grave in Glasnevin Cemetery. The song was originally written for a ceremony to commemorate them and as a proud reflection of the Rising.
The critically acclaimed singer/songwriter has toured both Europe and America and is recognised for being a versatile performer. O'Rourke's powerful voice has been known to mesmerise his crowds whether on his own, with a string quartet or with an orchestra.
In Full Colour is set to be released October 28.
