David Lee Roth + The Darkness rock around the cock
David Lee Roth will descend on Dublin late November, while The Darkness embark on their Elf Hazard Christmas Tour
David Lee Roth shows those cock rock whippersnappers The Darkness how it's done when he crash lands at Dublin's Vicar St. on November 25.
One of original cucumber-down-the-trousers merchants, Diamond Dave enjoyed huge success with Van Halen before going solo and, well, enjoying rather less success.
He's still an amazing showman, though, and will be giving a live airing to such classics as 'Jump', 'Hot For Teacher' and 'Panama'.
Talking of next issue's Mixed Grill stars, The Darkness have announced details of their Christmas single.
"We've just finished recording it with Bob Ezrin," Justin Hawkins tells London's XFM. "He did The Wall by Pink Floyd and loads of stuff by Kiss and Aerosmith as well.
"It's got a kiddies chorus on it, it's got tubular bells – it's your basic full-on Christmas experience. And the chorus is world class, one bit goes: 'Don't let the bell's end, just let them ring in piece.' It's gonna be lovely."
Funny guys that they are, their Yuletide trek round the UK has been dubbed the Elf Hazard Christmas Tour. You wouldn't get bleedin' Radiohead cracking funnies like that!
