David Bowie to release new single 'Lazarus' this Friday
'Lazarus' will be the second track to be released from his forthcoming album Blackstar.
David Bowie today released a 15 second trailer for his new song Lazarus which will be released this Friday (18th). The track will be played in its entirety on Steve Lamacq's BBC 6 Music radio show this coming Thursday before being released digitally the following day.
Backstair is Bowie's 25th album and is due for release on January 8th. The track Lazarus features in Bowie's new musical that he co-wrote with Irish playwright Enda Walsh. The musical is based on the 1976 film The Man Who Fell to Earth in which Bowie starred. Lazarus is his only new song to feature in the musical, other Bowie songs to be performed by the cast include 'Life on Mars', 'Heroes' and 'Changes'.
