KNEECAP to unveil new mural in Phibsborough today
The new mural is located outside the Bernard Shaw pub on Whitworth Road.
KNEECAP have unveil a new mural in Phibsborough today.
The mural is located outside the Bernard Shaw pub and designed by street artist Niall O'L. The image depicts KNEECAP's DJ Provaí on the shoulders of a suited man, assumed to be UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The words "completely intolerable" are drawn in the background.
In March, Starmer said that what KNEECAP stand for is "completely intolerable". His comments surrounded the now thrown-out terror trial of group member Mo Chara (Liam Og O hAnnaidh). O hAnnaidh was accused of allegedly displaying the Hezbollah flag at a London concert in November 2024. His case was originally thrown out in September, followed by a dismissed appeal in March.
KNEECAP have several murals across Ireland, with the hip-hop group appearing in multiple public art pieces in North and West Belfast, as well as an additional mural of Mo Chara near Dublin's Grand Canal Docks area.
The band have additionally noted they'll be selling merch at the mural for "mad cheap," with "no offer refused."
The band released their latest album FENIAN last week.
