Power of Dreams announce Dublin gig at Opium
The alternative rock band will return to Dublin on November 6
Power of Dreams have announced a Dublin headline show at Opium, November 6, marking the band’s first Irish performance featuring the original line-up since 2010. They also announced a London gig at the O2 Academy on November 26
Originally formed in Dublin in the late 80s, the alternative rock band first gained international attention with the release of their 1990 debut album, Immigrants, Emigrants and Me. It was the band's breakout record and helped establish them beyond Ireland and the UK.
The group split by the end of the 1990s, with members pursuing other musical and personal projects, before reuniting in 2009. In 2021, the band released Ausländer, their first studio album in 27 years. The comeback record reached number 22 on the Irish charts and was met with a positive response from critics and fans.
At the time, Hot Press wrote: “Power Of Dreams have successfully dusted themselves down for another run. It’ll be fascinating to see how the world responds.”
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10am here.
