Dave Chapelle Honours Prince During Stand-Up
Comedian Dave Chapelle, dedicated his San Fransisco stand-up to the late singer, Prince
What do celebrities do when their famous friends pass? Dave Chapelle utilizes his position by honoring Prince during his stand-up only a day after Prince's death.
Chapelle referred to the passing of Prince as the "black 9/11." His words expressed the tragedy of the event while maintaining his humorous disposition. Although it may seem like he was making light of the situation, there is no one-size-fits-all formula to dealing with the loss of a friend; people must often find humor in a tragic situation in order to move on with their own lives.
