Damien Dempsey makes his ma proud at Vicar St.
Mrs Dempsey was on hand at Vicar St. to celebrate her son's golden sales
Damien Dempsey's Vicar St. show turned out to be a family affair with his mum, Adrienne presenting her not-so-little boy with a gold disc for his Seize The Day album. For the non-music industry personages among you, that's 7,500 copies and rising. Also sharing in the moment was the Dubliner's co-manager John Reynolds.
On a more downbeat note, the re-occurrence of a throat problem has forced Dempsey to postpone a visit to the Spirit Store in Dundalk. Says a spokesman: "He felt he wasn't in a position to give 100%, which isn't his style. As soon as he can, though, he'll be rescheduling."
