Coldplay bring out Aslan for a rendition of 'Crazy World' in an emotional tribute to Christy Dignam
Fans quickly flooded social media with clips of the special moment
Coldplay paid tribute to the late Christy Dignam by bringing out Aslan for an emotional rendition of ‘Crazy World’ in Croke Park on Sunday evening.
The 80,000 crowd burst into a singalong, as Chris Martin welcomed the Dublin band on stage during the third of four sold-out gigs at the Dublin stadium.
The last time I saw Coldplay was at Oxegen 2011, when they brought out Christy Moore and I thought nothing could top that until tonight when they brought out Aslan. RIP Christy Dignam. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/eLCKXdrIvG

Dignam died aged 63 in June 2023, ten years after he was diagnosed with amyloidosis.
Aslan, who originally formed back in 1982, replaced the singer with fellow Finglas native Lee Tomkins, who has been touring with the band 2024.
Coldplay will play their fourth and final show in the capital on Monday evening, and will have delivered their Music of the Spheres spectacle to 320,000 Dublin concert goers.
Hot Press were on hand to capture the action at the groups's opening show Thursday evening. Read our live report and check out the photos gallery from the evening.
