Clonakilty International Guitar Festival starts tomorrow

Clonakilty International Guitar Festival kicks off tomorrow with music from Wallis Bird, Talos, Otherikin, John Spillane, Lankum, and many more. The festival runs until this Sunday across venues in Clonakilty with majority of the shows free of charge.

This year for the first time the largest folk music conference in the world, Folk Alliance International is hosting its inaugural European event in partnership with Clonakilty International Guitar Festival.

At this special event FAI will also be honouring Dónal Lunny with a Lifetime Achievement award. Past recipients have included Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger and Mavis Staples. Artist performing at the event include Mick Flannery, Wallis Bird and Lisa O’Neil and John Smith.
