Built in 1969, Claremorris Town Hall is a multi-functioning venue with an auditorium that holds up to 900 people, and a more intimate studio space – which is the perfect setting for exhibitions and live events. The newly refurbished venue has a time-honoured tradition of hosting the cream of Irish acts with Christy Moore, Joe Dolan and Horslips all having stormed the stage. Manager John Corless, a writer and actor by background, ensures that the very best of music, comedy and theatre is showcased in Claremorris’ hallowed hall, which is why it remains a vital focal point of the west’s live scene.
