Fionn Regan announces new album Berlin, Berlin and Irish tour
Tickets for his Irish run go on sale Wednesday at 10 am.
Wicklow-born singer-songwriter Fionn Regan has announced the release of his eighth studio album, Berlin, Berlin, out January 22, 2027, and a run of Irish shows as part of his upcoming European and UK tour.
He will play at Limerick's Dolans on February 26, 2027, Cork's Live at St Lukes on February 27, Waterford's Theatre Royal on March 2, Dublin's National Concert Hall on March 3, Dundalk's Spirit Store on March 4 and Belfast's Limelight on March 5.
Alongside the announcements, Regan shared 'Hurricane Bruise' - the record's opening track.
He also shared that he made the 10-track LP in East London in less than a week.
"One of the things with the album is I made it fast - super fast. Five days, maybe six days," he said. "I wanted the songs to feel like maybe the record is something that's come straight out of the ground.
"It's like the 'first thought, best thought' kind of approach. That kind of slightly [Jack] Kerouac-y idea of just doing something, not thinking about it, and then making it."
Berlin, Berlin's drop will coincide with the launch of his new label Cormorant Bird in partnership with Secretly Distribution.
It follows O Avalanche, released in 2024. That record was inspired by his time in Mallorca, while Berlin, Berlin was inspired by Regan's "craving for something minimal," with references to winter and night skies.
Regan released his Mercury-shortlisted debut album, The End of History, in 2006. Since then, he's been nominated for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Album of the Year twice - once for The End of History and again for The Meetings of the Waters.
He's also received high praise from other musicians, with Lucinda Williams once calling him "his generation's answer to Bob Dylan." His music has been featured in television and films such as Normal People, This Is England and Grey's Anatomy.
Meanwhile, in 2017, Cillian Murphy featured in the video for his song, 'The Meetings of the Waters', while Bon Iver sampled his song 'Abacus' the year before.
Tickets for his Irish shows go on sale Wednesday at 10 am here.
