Circus to leave Cork
Cork band Neon Flea Circus have announced details of their debut album release and gigs around the country.
The album is titled Fistful Of IOUs and it will be launched on May 6, the same day as the band play The Pavilion in Cork.
The album is totally self-funded and self-released. It’s Neon Flea Circus' second release and it follows their Go For The Juggler EP which earned the Pick of the Fortnight accolade in Jackie Hayden’s First Cuts column in Hot Press.
At the time Hayden wrote: "This is very inventive stuff, totally avoiding the more common formulae and making such good music that we could even forgive them their silly name."
Neon Flea Circus will play the Pavilion, Cork (May 6); Whelan's, Dublin (9); DeBarra's Bar, Clonakilty (14); Roisin Dubh, Galway (20); the Pavilion, Belfast (22); and Sky and the Ground, Wexford (25).
