Chvrches Pair Up with The National’s Frontman Matt Berninger
The Glasgow band give us the duet along with an album release date.
This is a combination we didn’t know we needed.
Matt Berninger’s famously low voice compliments a synth pop backing better than we’d have expected. There’s a sadness in ‘My Enemy’ as he reflects over words that are “so cold, so callous”, but we could trust that Lauren Mayberry’s unmistakable sound could defiantly lift this sobriety. Simultaneously forlorn and valiant, this pairing works on many emotional levels.
Chvrches will release their latest album Love Is Dead on May 25th.
