Having crafted hits for some of the biggest names in Irish hip-hop, including JyellowL's FIFA 20 single 'Ozone', Chris Kabs continues to take his rightful place in the spotlight with ‘Fly Away’ – the soulful lead single from his upcoming album, Therapy.
Drawing influence from the likes of Labrinth, Wyclef Jean and Drake, Chris' highly anticipated album is set to showcase his unique blend of pop, R&B, hip-hop and Afrobeat – a dynamic style is attributes to his time spent living in France and the Ivory Coast. The multi-talented artist speaks English, Swedish, French and Lingala, and has written written music in three of those languages.
“I want to put whatever I am going through into my music so that my fans can share in the different emotions that I go through," he explains. "A lot of the music on the album is about spreading positivity and is overall uplifting the listener.
The album also delves into his varied life experiences: “I was married and had a big wedding and walked away the day after," he says. "Parts of this album are based around the experience that can lead to that type of action.”
