Choice Music Prize shortlist announced in January
The winner of Irish Album Of The Year 2010 is announced March 3 2011
The shortlist for this year's Choice Music Prize, Irish Album Of The Year 2010 will be announced on Wednesday January 12. This will be the 6th annual Choice Music Prize, which has become one of the highlights of the Irish musical calendar and seeks to celebrate the best in Irish music.
The winning album will be selected at the Choice Music Prize ceremony, which is to be held in Vicar Street, Dublin on Thursday March 3 2011. The event will be broadcast live on Today FM.
Choice Music Prize co-founder Jim Carroll has stepped down from the project - he will be succeeded as chairman of the judging panel by Irish Times journalist Tony Clayton-Lea.
The winning act will receive a cheque for €10,000 courtesy of the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA), as well as a specially commissioned award. Last year's winner was Adrian Crowley for his Season Of The Sparks album
