Chequerboard needs your help
The Dublin artist has launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for his upcoming album.
Bearded guitarist John Lambert is the latest to try and harness the power of Fund it, a new online crowd-funding project that lets artists appeal directly to the public for money to support the expensive endeavor of recording an album or any other creative mission. The creator has 40 days to hit their fundraising goal and if they fall short, they get no funding. Ten Past Seven, Nina Hynes, and Little Xs For Eyes are just some of the Irish acts that have successfully used the website to fund their albums.
Lambert's aim is to raise €7,500 for his third album The Unfolding, which he hopes to release by May. To sweeten the pot, he's offering everything from an mp3 download of his new album to a series of montage art pieces produced during the fundraising process, depending on how much you give.
