Ahead of the release of his upcoming debut album, Veritas, CATALAN! has shared lead single, 'Roussillon Serenade'.
Self-described as a "celebration of diversity and curiosity", CATALAN!, aka Belfast-based musician Ewen Friers of punk trio Axis Of, is set to release Veritas through Northern Irish record label BOLDER – which he founded alongside Rory Friers (ASIWYFA), Brian Coney – as well as Luik Records and Gunnar Records.
With an irresistible indie-rock energy that draws influence from across the decades, 'Roussillon Serenade' marks CATALAN! as one of Ireland's most captivating talents.
"This song is a dream to play live, it's so full of energy," Ewen says of the release. "The video maker described it as Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros meets Talking Heads... I'll take that!"
